Gold for our EVOdescale
We are delighted to announce that we received the German Innovation Award 2025 in Berlin this week for our EVOdescale in the "Circular Impacts" category. Out of more than 460 applications, we were one of only sixteen companies to be honored with the gold award.
What is the German Innovation Award?
It recognizes cross-industry products, technologies and business models that stand out for their genuine added value, originality and impact. The focus is not only on the invention, but above all on applicability, sustainability and social relevance. The German Innovation Award is presented annually by the German Design Council - one of the most renowned institutions for design and innovation in Europe.
Only innovations that think beyond the status quo and provide sustainable impetus make it onto the shortlist. The fact that Evodrop was awarded a prize in this group shows that our approach is technologically and ethically pioneering.
Why EVOdescale?
With EVOdescale, we are setting new standards in water treatment. The innovative descaling process is based on natural malic acid and enables the almost complete removal of limescale - without removing valuable minerals from the water. In this way, we not only contribute to the longevity of technical building systems, but also to the health of users without harming nature.
A clear advantage for people and the environment
Thanks to the use of natural active ingredients and the avoidance of chemical salts, EVOdescale is not only low-maintenance, but also particularly resource-friendly. The technology reduces the CO2 footprint by up to 98% compared to conventional salt systems and requires no energy input.

Receiving the German Innovation Award 2025 confirms that we are on the right path: now more than ever, innovations must have a positive impact on our environment and our society. With over 30,000 customers in Switzerland and numerous international partnerships, EVOdrop stands for this claim.
We were personally present in Berlin to accept the award. It was a great event that offered inspiring insights into current innovation trends and the opportunity to exchange ideas with other thought leaders in the industry.
