Evodrop relies on a patented technology for sustainable water treatment without salt. At its heart is a special granulate based on malic acid, which is contained in the filter cartridge. This natural active principle makes it possible to effectively remove calcium and magnesium from the water without affecting the taste or quality of the water.

Thanks to its specially developed ion sieve technology, Evodrop achieves a limescale protection rate of up to 94.2 % without any salt, waste water or electricity. In contrast to conventional methods such as swirlers, magnets or seed crystals, the limescale is not only changed, but actively filtered out of the water. The residue is collected directly in the cartridge for noticeably clean, limescale-free water in the kitchen and bathroom.

Evodrop's mode of action is based on a highly effective natural process: the minerals calcium and magnesium bind permanently to the malic acid, even when the water is heated up to 200 degrees. There is no re-dissolution and therefore no more limescale deposits on fittings, appliances or in pipes.

In contrast to seed crystals, swirlers or magnetizers, the limescale is not simply converted, but actively removed from the water. The minerals calcium and magnesium bind permanently to the malic acid, even if the water is heated to 100 degrees. This prevents limescale deposits from forming on household appliances, pipes or fittings.

Depending on water hardness, temperature, flow rate and stagnation time, an average of 3 to 6 grams of malic acid is released per 1,000 liters of water. Malic acid itself is a natural, tasteless and organic component of many fruits, especially apples, and is therefore completely harmless to health.
