Microplastics are passed on by cancer cells

According to a study, very small plastic particles that enter the body when drinking, eating and breathing are not broken down in cancer cells like all other foreign bodies - the microplastics enter the daughter cells as they divide, a research team has found. This could even promote the spread of cancer cells.
