The Cantonal Office for Consumer Protection and Veterinary Affairs has carried out a chemical analysis of the water from the Höhe, Altburg and Feldmoos springs. An elevated level of the substance perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) was detected in two springs. These were taken off the water supply network as a precautionary measure. According to municipal president Dominik Gemperli, continuous measurements show that the values (without PFOS) in the network are now good.
