EU-wide problem: Chemicals in tap water cause thousands of deaths a year

Around five percent of all bladder cancer cases in Europe are attributable to trihalomethanes in drinking water, a by-product of drinking water disinfection. This was the result of an EU study. A solution is not in sight.
